About Me
Hey, I’m Sam, and I’ve been teaching guitar since 2017. Over the years I’ve worked with hundreds of students, from complete beginners picking up the instrument for the first time, to advanced players looking to refine their skills or break through musical plateaus.

In 2019, I completed my Master’s Degree in Classical Guitar at Maynooth University and went on to win the Feis Ceoil, Ireland’s most prestigious classical music competition. Not long after, the pandemic forced musicians everywhere to rethink how we connect and teach. I began teaching online full-time, working with students across Ireland, Europe, and further afield — and I’ve continued ever since.

In 2021, I founded Studio 6, a music school in Dublin, where I worked with a diverse range of students and helped them build confidence and find joy in their playing. At the same time, I’ve been an active performer, playing and recording with bands like Jet Fuel Chemistry and More Than Machines, as well as in classical and acoustic projects. These different worlds — classical guitar, metal, jazz, rock — have shaped me into a versatile musician and teacher.

My teaching philosophy is simple: every student is different, and lessons should adapt to your goals. Some people want to become shredders, some just want to play their favourite songs at home, and others want to understand theory or improve their technique. Whatever your aim, I’ll create a lesson plan that works for you.
